Decorating the Christmas Tree

Mom and Dad got their Christmas tree up and ready to decorate. We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy's house for lunch and to put up their Christmas Tree and when we got back it was time for Kennedy to help decorate this tree. She had so much fun and thought the tree was just so cool!

Standing all by herself like a big girl.
"Pretty tree!"

Helping Daddy hand the ornaments.

"Where should I put this one, Mom... In my mouth? okay!"

"So pretty. Wouldn't that be so much fun to grab hold of and shake!
Too bad Grandma gated it off so I can't touch it! MAN... Babies can't have any fun!"

Daddy's Army Christmas Party

Tom's Reserve weekend for December was a Family Christmas Party with Santa Claus. We were so excited for Kennedy to see Santa for the first time. She was really excited to see him when he walked into the room with his big sack of presents and his reindeer helpers. She said "ooooooooooo" and pointed with a big smile. It was her turn to sit on his lap and she didn't cry however, she really didn't know what to think. It was so cute.

Merry Christmas, Kennedy!

Showing off with Daddy to all of his Army friends.
What a cutie in her winter outfit!

Her very first Christmas present.
She got to unwrap it all by herself and she was so excited!

She got a paint it yourself dinnerware set.
We are going to put her hand prints and footprints on it when she turns one year old next month.

Baking cupcakes with Gwynie

It was getting towards the end of the week and Gwynie was really missing her Mommy and Daddy so Aunt Manda had to get creative to find things to keep her occupied until she got to see her Mommy and Daddy the next morning. We colored and did art projects (we made hand turkeys with Kennedy) and finally decided to make cupcakes and decorate them.

Making one for Uncle Tom.

I think this one was for Grandma.
She had each one designated for someone. So cute!

Playing with Gwynie

Kennedy had such a good time playing with her cousin Gwynie. Every time we walk by the fridge now she sees Gwynie's picture and points and goes "Ahhhh!" She misses her so much!

What pretty hair you have Gwynie, let me pull it out!

Showing Gwynie how to potty on the big girl potty!
1st time on the pot.

I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't there to see it!
What a big girl... 10 months old and she went pee pee on the potty!

Daddy had to go to Reserves for the weekend.
Gwynie and Kennedy were so very happy to see him when he got home!

Family Time

Still have lots of Thanksgiving stuff to catch up on. There was so much going on that I barely had time get on the computer, let alone get any blogging done.

Gwynie loves to color. She insisted that Aunt Manda help and that I sit at her table with her...
I am surprised that chair held my big pregnant butt!

Grandma cuddling with her Mazie.

Story time with Aunt Cate.
Kennedy loves her books.

Kennedy's 1st Thanksgiving

Kennedy got to see so many of her relatives for Thanksgiving. Alan, Drew and Kimmy came for the weekend and Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy, Donna and Jewel and Sarah, Lynn, Steve and Joy and her girls and all of the respective spouses. We definitely had a house full and Kennedy had a great time. She got to try all of the food, and there was a lot!

Kennedy was up and ready to help Mommy and Grandma cook dinner!

Mom's beautiful Turkey! Great Job, Mom!

Grandpa and Kennedy all tuckered out. Nap time!

The Prego Sisters!
Due dates are 2 weeks apart, these little boys are going to be trouble makers together!
She loves Great-Grandma's pumpkin pie!

Hanging with Great Grandpa after dinner.

Thanks for the Angel dollie Aunt Lynn!

Kennedy was ready for a nap but not before a picture with Grandma and Grandpa.

Fun with Cousin Gwynnie

Kennedy just loves that her Cousin Gwynnie is here to play with her. They are having so much fun together.
They laugh and play all day long.

Playing with Grandpa with the fun ball game that Uncle Drew got for Kennedy.

Big Girls, sitting in the rocking chair.

Kennedy would not eat her breakfast for Mommy.
But... when Gwynnie gave it to her she opened her mouth wide and at it all up!
She loves her Gwynnie.

I have had a good time fixing Gwynnie's hair every morning.
I can't wait until Kennedy grows some hair so I can do hers too.

Back home to Grandma and Grandpa's House.

When we got back to Mom and Dad's house on Saturday night Drew and Kendra and Kimmy, James and Gwynnie were here to see us. They hung out until Sunday morning but Gwynnie is going to get to stay for almost 2 weeks with us.

It's Favorite Aunt Kendra.

Uncle Drew showed up with more presents, like usual. He loves to spoil his nieces!
Kennedy got a new Elmo toy and a fun ball game. She loves them both. Thanks Drew.

Bye Bye Grandma... See you at Christmas!

Kennedy had such a great time at Grandma Pat's house. She got to experience so many things while she was there. She had her Pop Rocks for the first time, she got to play with the birdies, she became an expert crawler (no more wormy crawl) and she learned how to climb up stairs. That's a lot for only a couple of days.

Love that Grandma!

Grandma gave her a sucker before we left.
What a sticky baby!

Hanging out at Bobby and Mo's

When we get into Chicago we like to be able to hang out with Tom's friends from the neighborhood. Friday night we headed over to Bobby and Mo's and met up with them and Jimmy. We all got to have a nice relaxing evening, catching up and having fun. Too bad that I was not used to the Chicago traffic and got really car sick on the way over there and it took me a while to feel better.

Chillin' with Uncle Bobby and Uncle Jimmy!

"Do you have teeth like me, Uncle Jimmy?"

Kennedy had lots of fun playing with Joey.

Oh Boy... Another new trick.
It only took Kennedy about 5 seconds to see stairs for the first time and figure out how to get up them.
It was a non stop game from then on seeing how fast she could out smart everyone and get over to them and up them!
