Bath Time

So, I was excited that Tom got home from Mississippi last night. He was there for a week doing Army man stuff. It was really lonely all week long, but sometimes the peace and quiet was nice too. I really did miss him a lot though and so did the puppies. I left the dogs outside all day yesterday while I was at work because it was nice out. 73 degrees here for all you Northerners, I heard it snowed in Chicago yesterday!!!!! This picture doesn't show you how messy she really was.

Look at that mud...DISGUSTING...she likes bath time though. Riley has gotten so used to being muddy that when she comes in like that she goes to the bathroom and lays down in the tub and waits for me...
Pretty opposite of Riley is Shirley...she gets so freaked out by the bath tub, it doesn't make sense since she like so play in the pool so much...she stands there shaking the whole time, so her bath has to be quick!!!
She is just sitting there glaring at Tom hoping that he will save her from me, the evil bath lady...

I hope everyone is doing well and that you enjoyed the bath time pictures. Hopefully we will do something exciting this weekend to share with you...

done catching up

So I spent the weekend off relaxing and not trying to do much of anything. It's not often that I get time off like that. I slept in on Saturday and Sunday and even a little this morning since I have Monday mornings off too. I did all of my catch up blogging to fill everyone in on the last few months. I wish I could have gone back further, but you have to start somewhere I guess. I also got to play outside with the dogs and our little neighbor girl, Sarah and I went for a long walk with the dogs yesterday. Today, it's back to work; there is no school at FRA today so I don't have to go in until 3:00 and then we have our first round district games for the girls tonight. It'll be another long week but basketball should be over soon!!!

The reception

So Tom and I were off on another adventure just 3 weeks after getting back from Jamaica, oh ya, there's no pictures but just 2 weeks ago we headed up to Macomb to meet Mom and Dad to pick up our Puppies at Drew's "half way". We spent the weekend cleaning and painting. Tom helped Drew clean up outside. He had a lot of tree damage after an ice storm just before Christmas...We got his house looking so good, I'm not sure he is going to want to move out now...But he is off to a new job and moving in with Alan...

Any way... We got to Collinsville about 1:30 and had lunch at Kim and Ski's then off to get our hair done.

The reception was a great time. Got to see a lot of old friends. Katy was there, but had to leave early since she is with child and all... Hung out with Ashley a lot, we both had a great time blowing off some steam on the dancefloor!!!!

Kim and Ski had a great reception filled with so many of their friends and family. The night went by so fast, but we had so much fun. They truly are great friends of mine and I am sure Tom will agree that we will have them as part of our lives forever...We are looking forward to seeing them again soon, hopefully in Nashville next time though!!!

all good things must come to an end...

Good Bye Jamaica!!! We will miss you!

Last Night in Jamaica

The last night we all went our seperate ways for dinner, which actually ended up with us all eating at the same place and about the same time. Its funny how you try and make plans all week and then don't and end up together anyway. It was a good time had by all. We closed the night and the vacation up with drinks at the piano bar...

Here's Mary and Troy at the disco tech...

And dancing at the disco tech...

we had such a good time, this just proves that group vacations are well worth it, so much fun, can't wait till next time!!!

Jamaica

Here is Tom, leaving for a dive. He ended up going on several by himself... I felt bad not going with him, but after getting sick and there not being that much to see, I just decided it wouldn't be worth it for me to go. He had a lot of fun and met new people to be his dive buddies. He said he didn't see much more than he did the time we went together so I didn't miss much.

Here we are just before our Wind Surfing Lesson. I was a little nervous, especially after the lesson, it looked so hard!!!

But...I ended up being the best out of the group that tried, well it was me, Tom and another guy, but they both had to be rescued and I made it back on my own!!! I was so proud, I can't help but rub it in!!!

Jamaica

this is our hidden pool. It was about 10 steps from our deck off our suite. We swam in there a couple of times to rinse off from the ocean. It was nice to have it all to our selves, so peaceful and serene.

This is the swim up bar at the pool on the other side of our suite. We spent a lot of time either in there or in the hot tub drinking our Jamaican Smiles!!!! YUM!! We plan on having one of these in our backyard after we win the lottery.

This is a view of our balcony off our suit taken from the swim up bar pool balcony...It was nice sitting there in the morning before we left for the day and listening to the birds and the ocean waves. We could even see the ocean from our room. So nice. It was actually an upgrade. they suprised us with it when we arrived. Very nice.

Steel Drum Band

The steel drum band was so amazing, I never would have thought that they could play like that. It was awesome, the show lasted about an hour and a half. In the front it is hard to see but for some of the songs they had dancers come out and perform as well. They were all pretty good too except for the break dancers, I think they thought we were back in the 70's and 80's. :)

Jamaica

The night of the wedding we went to a beach party. I was great food, they had a buffet of just about anything that you could imagine there. For entertainment they had a fire dancer, limbo man and a Jamaican dancing contest.

After dinner we went our separate ways, Tom and I were pretty tired so we ended up going to bed not long after dinner. It had been quite a long day!!!

The next day we got up and went on a Catamaran Cruise and climbed Dunns River falls. Sorry I don't have a picture of that on here, it was so pretty and so hard to climb, but worth it for sure. The way back was even more fun it turned into a party cruise and ya, I won the beer chugging contest!!!! After the cruise we hung out by the pool, some of us played a game of volleyball, I chose to just watch by the pool. We closed the night out by going out to a nice dinner across the resort and then watching a steel drum band concert.

The Wedding

The next day was the wedding. It got to a kind of stressful start but ended up amazing. The three girls spent the morning together by the pool. We went with Kim to get her hair done and then rushed to get dressed before the shuttle came to pick us up. We thought we had plenty of time, I guess not, but no one new the difference.

The blushing bride and groom. Kim and Ski had a beautiful wedding on the beach!!!

Isn't that a great view!!!! I know you are all jealous, sorry. We then went up to the dock, not that one in the picture, but it was just to ther right of there, for a little reception.

I loved my dress, so beachy and fun. It ended up not being that comfortable though. The price you pay being a girl!!!

Jamaica

After hanging out at the pool all day we decided to go play in the water.
We were awfully tired after all the playing in the pool and hanging out in the ocean so we headed back to the pool by our room to read and nap.

It is so peaceful here... It's been such a long time since we were able to just hang out in peace with each other. Although I don't think either of us wants to hear another Shaggy song as long as we live...Enough already!!!!

Jamaica

We were in Jamaica from January 13 to the 19th. We got up bright and early, well, it wasn't bright yet. We left the house at 12:45 am and got to the Atlanta airport around 5:45 ET. Our flight left at 9:30 and we arrived in Montego Bay around 12:30. Little did we know that it would take us until about 4:30 to get to the resort in Ocho Rios and almost 6:00 before we were settled in our room. What a long Day. Here we our on the shuttle, glad to be on the island!!!

We made it through our first night until about 10:30, we watched a country western show done by a Jamaican...Iknow, and he was really good too.

We went for our first dive the next day. We went just off the shore about 5 miles or so to a reef and a couple trenches. It was suprisingly empty and uncolorful. We were later told that the reefs are overfished by the residents of Jamaica so there is not much to see. I was about done with it after about a half hour but we spent about an hour underwater. I thought I was good but ended up blowing chunks right before we left to go back to shore...YUCK!!!

The rest of the group met up with us that night. We had dinner together, that took forever!!! We spent the rest of the night by the beach hanging out then ended up in the hot tub!!!

The next day was more hanging out, this time we went over to the other side of the resort and spent most of the day by the pool. The boys had a good time playing on the slide and we ended up playing a nice game of pool volleyball.
