Last weekend Tom and I went to the Iowa State Fair. I hadn't been since I was pretty little so I really didn't remember much about it. We had a really good time despite the heat. We were glad because of how hot and sunny it was that Mom and Dad kept Kennedy for us for the day. They had a good time too. Kennedy got to go to a tractor show with her Grandma and Grandpa. She got to sit on tractors and pet farm animals. She even tried to stick her arm down a calf's throat. When I get the pictures off of Mom's camera, I will put them up here. She had a great time and the event photographer even took her picture because of how cute she was to put her up on the website to promote next year's show. :)
We decided to spend some time down in Colo with Grandma Kaufman to hang out and for Tom to have a shorter drive to work on some days. Tom dropped Kennedy and me off before he went to work on Thursday and we stayed until Friday night.

Thursday afternoon we met my cousin, Leah, for lunch at Hickory Park which is a famous restaurant in Ames, known for their great BBQ and their ice cream desserts. We had a good time catching up since we don't get to see her or her family very often since they moved to Texas.
After we left the restaurant we went on a mission to find Grandma a new shower curtain for her downstairs bathroom. We also went treasure hunting at the Goodwill and I found a lot of new maternity clothes. Once we got home, everyone was tired so we just had a nice relaxing evening and then went off to bed.
Tom really enjoyed sleeping in Friday morning since we were 45 min closer to his work. Grandma and I decided that when she got home from work we would just stay home and rest for the day. We enjoyed watching a movie and playing with Kennedy and once Kennedy was asleep we waited for Tom to get home with his dinner with his friend from work with watching some TV and visiting. We are looking forward to going back next week before we head to Chicago to see Grandma Donohoe.
