Family

This weekend we had to say goodbye to one of our very close Aunts. Grandma Kaufman's sister, Ruthanne, passed away of breast cancer last Thursday very early morning. I had the chance to go to hospice last Sunday, the 8th, to say a sad goodbye. Ruthanne had a huge impact on so many people, including my dad and it was special to hear all about her wonderful life yesterday at her memorial. We also got the chance to see many of our relatives that we only see once in a great while. It had been almost 15 years since I have seen some of Dad's cousins, Aunts and Uncles.

Sunday afternoon we went over to Marcy and Dean's house to spend time with Grandma and her Sister, Virginia's, family. All of Dad's brothers and sister were there too which hasn't happened in over 3 years.

Aunt Donna got to steal Kennedy for a few minutes from her baby crazy Aunt Marcy.

The memorial to celebrate Ruthanne's life was on Monday and it was a very nice service. Afterward we got to spend some time hanging out at Grandma's.

My youngest cousin Lindsey, 6, finally decided Kennedy was okay to play with for a little while. She hasn't thought much of her the past couple of times that she has seen her but she is warming up, little by little.

Playing with cousin Hanne and Aunt Debbie.

Playing with all these people the last couple of days really wears a baby out. She just had to go to sleep at Great Grandma's house. Wrapped up like a little burrito in the corner. :)

just hanging out.

The last couple of weeks we have just been hanging out. It has been really hot and humid and the mosquitoes have been ridiculous so we have not been able to be outside much. The dogs haven't even wanted to go outside. We have been finding plenty of time to play inside though. Kennedy has gotten really good at sitting up on her own, she only throws herself backwards a little bit, but not very often. She really enjoys standing up on the couch, propped up back the back of it and acting like a big girl. She is cutting one of her top teeth because she just can't stop biting on things, including my fingers and it really is starting to hurt!

Grandpa's favorite shirt! Of course, and it is not an understatement.

One of the only nice days outside last week, we all got out to get the lawn mowed. Kennedy took a little ride after the lawn was mowed and Grandma was just picking up the grass. She liked it but I am sure she thought it was loud, so she only rode for a few minutes, then it was back inside to escape the mosquitoes!

She loves her puppies!!! Daisey loves the attention she gets from Kennedy too. Mommy lets her pet the puppies as long as she doesn't touch their face and she is nice to them... Which she is, most of the time!
