Play day

Kennedy got a very good nights sleep last night and that means so did Mommy and Daddy. Tom went for a run this morning around 7am and Kennedy and I slept in til after 8am. Tom got home just as we had gotten up and I was getting Kennedy's bottle ready. She ate her bottle and then it was play time.

Talking to Daddy. They have some pretty interesting conversations.

Squish Face!

Tummy Time!

After Tummy time it was time for another bottle and then nap time. She took a 2 hour nap then I woke her up for another bottle and then she slept for another 3 hours! I had to wake her up to go to the babysitters and then she was up for most of the rest of the day. She took a short 1 hr cat nap around 7:30 and then it was nightie night around 9:30.

Poor little baby was all pooped out today. I put her into bed when she was getting sleepy and she fell asleep watching her mobile. Ahhh, so precious! Sleep tight baby Kennedy!

Kim came for a visit

Last weekend we got a nice surprise and our friend, Kim came in for a visit. She called us up earlier in the week and asked if we had anything going on over the weekend and if she could come down. Of course, we were more than happy to have her over! We had a really good time. She got in pretty late on Friday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon.

Saturday morning we got out her BeBe Pod that Ashley gave us and WOW, I couldn't believe how good she did sitting in it. She slipped into a slouch every once in a while and Tom had to prop her back up but she really enjoyed it. She has really started noticing things lately and likes to play with her toys. She really knows how to bang them around now.

Riley making sure she gets some Daddy time too. She loves the booty scratch!

Yeah!!! I get to be outside on a nice Saturday afternoon!

Getting a picnic lunch! Thanks Kim!

First Day at Church.

We have been wanting to make it back to church for several weeks now and we finally made it this weekend. Now we just have to talk to the priest about what we have to do to get her baptized. With the time change there was no way we were going to make it to the 8am mass but we did really good getting to the 10:30 mass. We walked in just after the opening hymn. Not bad.

So cute in her little bee dress.

Lil Irish Girl :)

Friday night Kennedy slept in her St. Patrick's Day PJ's so Saturday morning I decided to put her Irish hat on her and make her model for me... She was into it at first and also got over it pretty quick.

She's about done here... That's her, "Are you kidding me mom, how many more?" face...

First week back at work.

After a long drive home last Monday from Alan's I pretty much took Monday night and Tuesday to recover and so did Kennedy. She slept most of the day on Tuesday and when I was not catching up on the laundry I was resting myself. Wednesday it was back to work. I have been dreading this day for a while, but all good things must come to an end. Luckily Tom is home in the mornings and was able to help me get ready and I didn't have to be the one to take Kennedy to the babysitter. I got out the door a little late and only with a few tears but I made it to my meeting on time. The day was pretty slow, just a couple meetings and then just practice at the high school but it seemed to take forever before I could get home to my baby! I missed her soooo much and was so glad to finally be home with her at the end of the day. I guess working makes me cherish the time I get to spend with her even more.

I decided not to go back to work full time for my first week because I did not want to stress myself out too much and I am glad I did it that way. It turns out that I came back right before spring break so I really don't have much to do. I didn't go to the clinic on Thursday because I will start there next week and all I had was a soccer scrimmage Thursday night. Friday was the start of spring break and again, no clinic so I didn't have to go to work at all. Next week will also be a nice mild week to help me transition. Monday all I have is a baseball game at night, then clinic Tuesday morning, off Wed, clinic Thursday and off Friday. I may have to start some computer training next week to fill in some time but I would have to say that this is not a bad start. I could have been a whole lot worse.

For now, I am just going to enjoy the weekend at home with Tom and Kennedy.

Hanging out at Grandma's

Sunday before we had to go home, Mom decided to have whoever could make it up over for brunch. Mom and I cooked breakfast while everyone slept in and then we had company over. Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy came out as well as Aunt Donna, Lyndsey and Grandma Kaufman. Aunt Donna and Uncle Jewel, Sara and her boyfriend, Aunt Marcy and Uncle Dean and Uncle Ken also came. It was really nice to get everyone together again. We don't get to see our family that much so we have a lot of fun when we get together even if it's only for a little bit. My camera battery died before everyone got there and again, I can't get Alan's pictures to load on my camera so I will try to get them put up sometime soon.

Kendra's Shower...

Kendra had a really good turn out for her shower and was able to meet a lot of our family. I think she was a little overwhelmed by all of the people because she is a little shy, but she did really well. We played some games that were really fun and had some yummy dessert. Everyone also took turns holding Kennedy, so as usual, I really didn't get to hold her at all. I think I did a really good job of sharing this weekend.

Meeting Great Grandma Kaufman

Last Saturday we got up and got ready for Kendra's shower. We wanted to get over to Grandma Kaufman's early so that she could see her and play with her before we went over to the shower. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be to get out the door when I wanted to but we made it over there around 11:30. Of course, Grandma was so excited to see her and she just loved her like crazy. I took pictures of her with her Great Grandma with my video camera instead of the regular camera and don't know how to get them on the computer yet, but I will. I tried loading Alan's pictures on my computer, but the CD he gave me is not working. There are a couple but I will put more up later. We spent a little while over at Grandma's and had lunch then headed over to the shower to meet the rest of her family.

Joey got a little Kennedy lovin before we left for the shower. It's funny seeing a baby I used to take care of holding my baby! He's so cute!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy

Four Generations.

Today after we got settled in at mom and dad's we headed out to Buckeye to see Kennedy's Great Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy. We spent a few hours over their and they were just so excited to finally meet her. Kennedy had a good time snuggling and playing with them.

She slid around pretty easy from one to another on the table. She had fun stretching and kicking.

Great Grandma feeding Kennedy her bottle. She is so hungry!

Bye-oh, Bye-oh, rock-a-bye...

A long, long day...

Yesterday was something else... wow. We ended up leaving the house around 5:45am. Kennedy got her bottle from daddy about 4:15 while I took a shower, pumped and finished packing. It took just over an hour to get out of the house but once we got on the road it went really smooth. Kennedy slept until I woke her up when I had to stop for gas and to use the bathroom at 9:00. We had a 45 min pit stop to feed her and change her diaper and then we were back off. We had one more small stop before we got to Alan's around 2:00. Alan watched Kennedy for me while I ran to Wal-Mart, pumped, washed the bottles and then it was back on the road around 4:30. We made a quick stop in Brimfield to pick up Joey and to see Kim and then we were on the road again at 6:00. We then made a stop in Davenport to see Drew and Kendra that was perfect timing because Kennedy was having a meltdown just before we got to their apartment. We got Kennedy fed and her diaper changed and let her stretch out a little more and then we were off again; on the final stretch to get to Grandma and Grandpa's house. She did pretty good the rest of the way considering how long she has been in that silly car seat! We finally got to Grandma and Grandpa's house at midnight! How many hours is that???? I lost count. She fell asleep around 11:00 in the car and slept until 6:00 this morning. She was wore out!

All rested up after a good nights sleep. She loves her new toy that Grandma and Grandpa got her!
