Mallory's Shower

Sunday night I headed into Colo with Kennedy and dad so that we could go to Mallory's bridal shower. I won't be able to make it to her wedding so I wanted to make sure that I was there for her shower. We had a good time and everyone got to love on Kennedy a little more before we had to go home.

Hanne giving Kennedy her good night bottle. It's so weird to see Hanne with Kennedy. It seems like not that long ago I was up in Wisconsin staying with Donna for a week helping take care of her when she was just a little baby about Kennedy's age. I guess that is what Donna must have felt like when I was up there.

Mallory and Sydni playing a shower game. Mallory won!

Great Grandma Kaufman. Kennedy was having a great time playing on Great Grandma's lap. She was laughing and hamming it up for everyone.

Grandma and Grandpa got Kennedy up early on Monday morning so she would sleep in the car. They did a really good job keeping her awake but there was only so much they could do. She lasted until about 15 min before we left but it still worked because she was a good little girl the whole way home.

The next day.

After the wedding, everyone that spent the night at the hotel got up and ate breakfast together. We all gathered in our conference room and spent the morning catching up.

Drew and Kendra's wedding

Drew and Kendra were married on May 29, 2010. We had so much fun all day long; from getting our hair done, taking pictures, witness their marriage, and the reception! Congratulations Drew and Kendra. Welcome to the family Kendra!

Sisters! Getting our hair done before the wedding. Kendra was so happy and bubbly all day long. She looked beautiful!

The happy couple! They couldn't stop smiling at each other all day. They are so cute!

What a nice looking group of kids!

Pretty baby! Giving mommy some loving before the ceremony.

Water Baby

Memorial Day weekend we headed up to Iowa for Drew and Kendra's wedding. We left Thursday night when Tom got off from work and drove through the night. We pulled into Mom and Dad's around 8:30am on Friday. Friday afternoon we headed down to Pella for the rehearsal and got a little pool time in before we had to head over there.

Kennedy just loves bath time so I knew she was going to love being in the pool.

Her first swim. She was having a good time kicking and splashing around!

So Much Fun!

Fun in the pool with cousin Gwynnie and Aunt Kimmy.

Kennedy has been such a playful little girl lately. She really enjoys discovering all the things her toys can do.

Playing with her rings on her swing.

Shirley and Riley enjoying the nice weather. Chillin' on the back porch.

She has so much energy. She absolutely loves bouncing in her bouncy seat. She really gets this thing going up and down.

Kennedy has really started to become more alert. She is sitting up more and discovering "new" things all the time. She love sitting up. If she is awake she pretty much only wants to be sitting and playing. She still enjoys her tummy time but this is her favorite spot.

This is the night we went out to dinner with some friends from down the street. Kennedy was pretty good but she is getting herself on a much stricter schedule. We went a little late and even though I brought her bottle with she still was more than ready to go by 7:30. We had to cut our conversation short so we didn't disturb the other people at the restaurant with her screaming. Oh well, she's still a great baby!

Shirley and Riley have not gotten enough face time on the blog lately. They are still great dogs and we still love them VERY much! They handle getting less attention pretty good, especially since its been nice outside. They go out in the morning when it's nice and pretty much stay out all day except to come in to cool off now and then.

Riley and Kennedy are going to be best friends in a couple of months. Kennedy has been noticing Riley more often and wanting to touch her. (with mommy's permission of course) Riley still sneaks in a kiss on the face at least once a day so she loves Kennedy too.

Kennedy can roll over!

Last week was a really long week. Tom spent last week up in Chicago spending time with his mom while she recovered from surgery. Kennedy and I had a decent week, we just didn't get to spend much time together. I had to spend a lot of time at work so Kennedy spent a lot of time at the babysitter. She had a good week. It turns out that she has been laughing like crazy all week. I picked her up on Friday and Debbie tickled her and she just started cracking up.

We picked Tom up from the airport late Friday night and then I had to go to work early on Saturday for high school physicals. Tom really enjoyed being able to be back at home spending time with his baby girl. When I got home on Saturday Tom had to leave for work and I finally got to spend some time with Kennedy. We were playing on the floor and she decided to roll over for the first time! After that I got the camera and was able to record it...

Check it out on youtube... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gsmhgxf1R50

Hanging in her swing after her morning bath.

So excited

She just started getting interested in the tray part of her swing.

She gets really serious when she's playing sometimes. She is so fun to watch!

Mother's Day Weekend

Since Tom's mom is in the hospital recovering from her surgery, Tom is spending the week in Chicago helping her recover. He left this afternoon and will be back on Friday night. Since he was leaving on Mother's Day he wanted to celebrate the day on Saturday instead which was perfectly okay with me. It was a really nice day. We hung out around the house in the morning and then in the afternoon Tom grilled some hamburgers for lunch and he took us to the park for a walk and then cooked me dinner. After we put Kennedy to bed we watched some TV then off to bed. It had been two weeks since we got to spend a whole day together and it was really nice.

All dressed up to go out for our walk with Daddy and the puppies!

This morning we got up for church and then Tom took us out to IHOP for breakfast. We had a little bit of time to hang out before I had to drop him off at the airport. Now Kennedy and I are just hanging out, enjoying a week of just us girls. We will miss daddy of course!

Pretty Girls!

Playing with my Johnny-Jump-Up, SO MUCH FUN!

We made it through the flood.

Last weekend was a crazy weekend. Tom was gone for his Reserve weekend in Alabama so me and Kennedy were Bachelorettes for the weekend. It started off fine and we knew that it was going to be a rainy weekend but we had no idea what was in store here. It started storming around 7am and didn't stop until about midnight and then started back up with Tornado sirens going off at 5am on Sunday with rain again until about 6pm on Sunday. Of course, the flooding was horrible and thank goodness we live up on a hill and Kennedy and I were safe and dry from all of the flooded roads and homes. So many people in Nashville lost their homes, their cars and 10 people lost their lives. We have been praying for everyone who suffered losses and have been very thankful for getting through this unharmed and dry.

We played dress up on Sunday since we couldn't go outside. Doesn't she look cute in her summer dress.

Tummy time on her play mat yesterday. She's getting so strong.

Kennedy sitting up in her big girl chair. She loves to play with her ball. She is so much fun!
